Ceara Byrne
FOUNDER. DIRECTOR & CEO
Ceara is the founder and CEO of Laurel’s Wood CIC, leading the vision to create meaningful connections between people and nature.
After stepping away from a corporate career, she built Laurel’s Wood to give children and families access to something different — a space to feel calm, build confidence and reconnect outdoors.
Ceara is particularly passionate about tackling barriers to accessing green space and creating opportunities for children to thrive in nature. She remains hands-on in delivering sessions and shaping the growth of Laurel’s Wood.
Andy Lewis
EDUCATION LEAD
Andy is our Education Lead and a highly experienced bushcraft and outdoor learning specialist.
With over 20 years in education, he brings a calm, knowledgeable approach that helps children build confidence, resilience and practical skills.
Andy has a wide range of outdoor experience and qualifications, and is passionate about helping people of all ages reconnect with nature.
Lucy Parker
CO-FOUNDER OF WOODLINGS & EARLY YEARS LEAD
Lucy is a qualified primary school teacher with over 20 years’ experience working with children, alongside a background in woodland skills and outdoor learning.
As co-founder of Woodlings, she is passionate about creating calm, welcoming experiences where children and families can build confidence, curiosity and connection through nature.
Lucy leads Woodlings sessions as well as supporting school and group visits at Laurel’s Wood, bringing a warm, nurturing approach and a strong understanding of child development and outdoor learning.
Rachael O’Dell
FOREST SCHOOL LEADER
Rachael is a Level 3 Forest School Leader who leads school and charity sessions at Laurel’s Wood.
After changing career to follow her passion for the outdoors, she now creates calm, engaging sessions that help children feel safe, confident and connected to nature.
Rachael is passionate about the positive impact outdoor experiences can have on children and families.
